Please join the March of Dimes at the historic Providence Art Club as we celebrate our 14th Annual Signature Chefs Auction! This culinary extravaganza features tastings from more than 25 of Rhode Island’s best chefs and restaurants. Funds raised will support the mission of the March of Dimes - giving babies the healthiest possible start to life. Enjoy bidding on superb and unique live and silent auction packages and celebrate the culinary talents, creativity and generosity of all our fabulous chefs and restaurant partners, as we honor the March of Dimes' 2015 Signature Chef - Matthew Varga
As Executive Chef of Gracie’s Restaurant in Providence, Matthew Varga brings a well-rounded and creative flair to the culinary table; while overseeing menus that change seasonally and feature the freshest ingredients, sourced locally wherever possible. By respecting the seasonality of the harvest, the culinary team at Gracie’s is able to focus on showcasing each ingredient at its peak. The culinary experience is thereby enhanced not only through the food itself but also in the creative and elegant style of its presentation. During his tenure as Executive Chef, Gracie’s has been awarded the prestigious AAA Four Diamond Award in four consecutive years and has received three Diners’ Choice Awards from Open Table among other accolades. In 2014 Chef Matt’s recipes were also featured in the highly acclaimed publication, Art Culinaire. March of Dimes Rhode Island proudly recognizes the culinary talents of Chef Varga and is delighted to acknowledge him as its 2015 Signature Chef. We also salute and thank all our gifted chefs as they so generously share their talents in support of Rhode Island’s babies, moms and families.
Join us at 5:30PM for a VIP Reception. The VIP Reception is for sponsors and special guests, however there are a limited amount of tickets being sold. The VIP reception is being sponsored by the Savory Grape and will feature premier beer, specialty wine, and a special treat served by local celebrity bartenders, Meredith Thompson from Cat Country, Barbara Morse Silva, from WJAR, and Cindy Burke, Mrs. Rhode Island! There will also be a special appearance from this year’s Signature Chef Honoree, Matthew Varga of Gracie’s Restaurant.
