All March of Dimes Signature Chefs events will be held virtually this year. While we may not be together in person, we rely on your continued support to provide innovative programs and services for moms, moms-to-be and babies who may be at a greater risk of becoming sick and not receiving proper or equitable care.

The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Events community are coming together in new, innovative ways to suport moms and babies this year.

We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

We need your help now more than ever. Your support funds:

  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Programs that promote health equity for moms and babies and directly combat racial disparities in maternal and child health
  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into the hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks and so much more!

EVENT DETAILS

Signature Chefs is an evening of fabulous food, gourmet cocktails and unique culinary auction packages.  The gourmet tasting event features 30 of Louisville's finest local chefs and restaurants led by Chef Joshua Moore of Volare.

EVENT LEADERSHIP

The March of Dimes is pleased to present James R. Allen, President & CEO of Hilliard Lyons, with the Kentuckiana March of Dimes Roosevelt Award.  Named in honor of March of Dimes founder President Franklin D. Roosevelt, this award recognizes an individual who has made significant contributions to build our community.  Mr. Allen has played a pivotal role in Louisville's economic growth and development as well as being a passionate advocate for children, education and the arts. Jim devotes his time and leadership to a number of civic and charitable organizations including the March of Dimes. 

Signature Chefs is led by 2015 Co-Chairs John Taylor and Stephanie Renner of PBI Bank.

SUPPORT THE MISSION

As guests of the Signature Chefs Auction for four years, Kris and Tonya Abeln never imagined they would someday be in need of the services provided by March of Dimes. In fact, at the 2013 event, they secretly celebrated the recent and exciting news of their own pregnancy. Luke Avett Abeln came into the world fighting at 2 lbs. 13 oz., just 28 weeks into Tonya's pregnancy.  Now, a year later, the Abelns are forever grateful to the March of Dimes, whose commitment to research and NICU training contributed to the healthy and active toddler that Luke is today.   With your gift at Signature Chefs to the March of Dimes, you can help fund the research, education, and support to ensure a healthy start for every baby born.
