All March of Dimes Signature Chefs events will be held virtually this year. While we may not be together in person, we rely on your continued support to provide innovative programs and services for moms, moms-to-be and babies who may be at a greater risk of becoming sick and not receiving proper or equitable care.

The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Events community are coming together in new, innovative ways to suport moms and babies this year.

We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

We need your help now more than ever. Your support funds:

  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Programs that promote health equity for moms and babies and directly combat racial disparities in maternal and child health
  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into the hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks and so much more!

EVENT DETAILS

Join us in October 2018 for our annual gathering of the area’s finest culinary talent in support of the March of Dimes. Upon arrival, you will enjoy the chance to sample our chefs’ creations for a one-of-a-kind tasting experience before taking your seat for the Live Auction and Fund the Mission. Enjoy dessert while you bid on our unique packages, raising your paddle and giving generously to help babies.

The Signature Chef Auction is a benefit for babies, an event to raise funds for the campaign to end prematurity. The event is a culinary showcase, featuring top culinary masters. This rare opportunity is made possible by participating chefs graciously donating their time and talent to create a food experience beyond any available in Kansas City. Each tasting is thoughtfully created to tantalize the palette of even the savviest “foodie” and highlight the chef’s unique and exceptional talents. Amidst a lively party atmosphere and exiting entertainment, guests will enjoy exquisite cuisine, spirited cocktails and enticing raffle and auction packages.

The March of Dimes is leading the fight to tackle the vast problems of pre-term birth. Prematurity is one of the most significant health threats to moms and babies today. Prematurity leaves a devastating toll on families in Missouri and Kansas and places a heavy financial burden on our health system.

 -1 in 9 babies in Kansas are born premature
 -1 in 10 babies in Missouri are born premature 
 -Prematurity is the leading cause of death amongst newborns
 -Prematurity is a leading cause of lasting childhood disabilities
 -It is estimated that the societal and economic costs of pre-term birth is $26.2 billion annually
