Still want to help us?

Our 2017 Indianapolis Signature Chefs Gala will take place on Thursday, November 2nd at the Indianapolis Central Public Library in downtown Indianapolis. Our event features food and wine pairings from approximately 15-20 chefs and restaurants around the Central Indiana area, a silent auction, a live auction and exciting entertainment.

Thanks to the leadership of our volunteer chairs, Drs. Jeffrey and Leigh Meltzer from IU North Hospital and committee members, we are honored to present this Signature Chefs event. After months of hard work, these volunteers have taken the event to new heights. The March of Dimes and the families we support are grateful for the generosity and effort of the team that made this evening possible.

Signature Chef Auction supports the fight to end premature birth, the most significant health threat to moms and babies everywhere.

Through partnerships with companies, organizations and individuals, the March of Dimes is able to create unique moments for your clients, vendors and leadership teams. They participate in an exclusive dining event while supporting a critical cause. Sponsorship opportunities are available at a variety of levels for our Signature Chefs events, providing you with brand recognition, civic engagement and an exclusive client entertainment opportunity within the event. We look forward to working with you to discuss your partnership with the March of Dimes. For more information on sponsorships and partnerships, please contact Elizabeth Tollefson at (317)-285-0199.

Signature Chefs events feature local culinary talent who create a selection of fine cuisine for an exclusive audience. Our chefs are artists, innovators and philanthropists, and we look forward to sharing their talents at the event.

Our Ambassador Family - The Jenneys

After almost two years of marriage, Jeff and I decided we were ready to start a family of our own. We were so thrilled to find out our 1st child’s due date was on our 3rd wedding anniversary! You can understand the shock that ensued when I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks. Ethan was born at 32 weeks gestation weighing 3 lbs. 10 oz.  He fought his way through the 5.5 week stay in the Special Care Unit without any major complications. Today, we are the proud parents of a very energetic and thriving 7-year old.
Two years later we were expecting our second son Eli. We did all the right things for a healthy pregnancy and had frequent visits with the High Risk OBGYN group, including a visit to the high risk doctor on the same day we went into pre-term labor. Despite close physician follow up, I went into preterm labor with Eli at 25 weeks. He was born at 26 weeks gestation and weighed only 1 lb. 10 oz. At 1 month of age, he developed very aggressive Necrotizing Enterocolitis and passed away due to this devastating complication. Our hearts were shattered. In the midst of grief, we decided to find something positive to focus on to honor his brief but precious time with us. That is when we formed a ‘March for Babies’ team in his honor in an effort to raise awareness about prematurity, and at the same time raising funds for the March of Dimes organization. We have continued volunteering for and participating with the March of Dimes since then to help give ALL babies a fighting chance.
We now have a third son, Justin, who is two years old. We feel that I was able to carry him full term due to medication I was able to take during the pregnancy. This medication was found only due to the research efforts the March of Dimes has been able to do.
We are excited to represent the Central Indiana March of Dimes. The endless work, support and research of the March of Dimes are essential to help give every baby a fighting chance and a future for a long healthy life. ~ The Jenneys
