Premature birth is one of the most significant health threats to moms and babies today -- the leading cause of death amongst newborns, and the leading cause of lasting childhood disabilities. In California, March of Dimes is currently funding 26 research grants totaling more than $6 million, and is committed to finding the cause and prevention of preterm birth.
March of Dimes is also fighting for initiatives to increase access to care for all, and to address the devastating disparities in health outcomes for women and children of color.
