Signature Chefs Auction, Waco

Join us for the 2019 March of Dimes Signature Chefs, a benefit for babies, an event to raise funds for the campaign to end prematurity. The event is a culinary showcase, featuring Waco, Temple and Killeen’s top culinary masters. This rare opportunity is made possible by participating chefs graciously donating their time and talent to create a food experience beyond any available at a single location. Each tasting is thoughtfully created to tantalize the palette of even the savviest “foodie” and highlight the chef’s unique and exceptional talents. Amidst a lively part atmosphere and exciting entertainment, guests will enjoy exquisite cuisine, spirited cocktails and auction packages. 

1 in 10 babies in Texas will be born premature. Prematurity is one of the most significant health threats to moms and babies today. It is the leading cause of infant loss as well as the leading cause of lasting childhood disabilities. In Waco alone, 7 out of every 1000 babies born won't reach their first birthday due to premature birth.

The March of Dimes is committed to finding the cause and prevention of preterm birth.

The Stott family was directly impacted by the March of Dimes when their twin daughters, Ella and Audrey, were born at 31 weeks. Ella weighed 2 pounds 1 ounce while Audrey weighed 2 pounds 11 ounces. Audrey was allowed to go home after 36 days. It took Ella a little longer before she was able to go home with her family. She was finally able to go home from the NICU after 57 days. After delivering over 2 months early, the Stott family was officially a family of four at home after a long 93 days.

The Stott family invites you to join them in supporting the March of Dimes. They give in honor of Audrey and Ella's fight to grow and thrive. They give in honor of all the babies that have been born too soon. They give to help find a cure for premature birth for all the babies that have yet to be born. They give so that every baby has a fighting chance tp grow up and make a difference in our world. They give because we all have the chance to be “brave and strong” for all the babies that need us to fight for them.
