The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Events community are coming together in new, innovative ways to suport moms and babies this year.

We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

We need your help now more than ever. Your support funds:

  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Programs that promote health equity for moms and babies and directly combat racial disparities in maternal and child health
  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into the hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks and so much more!

2025 Fields Family Legacy Award

Established in 2017, this prestigious award honors the remarkable contributions of Dan and Amy Fields and their family, long-time supporters of March of Dimes. It celebrates individuals who demonstrate extraordinary generosity, leadership, and unwavering commitment to the organization’s mission.

Ambassador Family

March of Dimes Chicago would like to introduce the 2025 Signature Chefs Feeding Motherhood Ambassador Family, The Kellys!

Thea, Willa, and Finn arrived earlier than expected as Caroline was admitted to the hospital during a routine check-up after showing signs of pre-eclampsia. With the possibility of early delivery, the planned baby shower was quickly cancelled. Three days later, she underwent an emergency C-section due to a sudden drop in platelet count.

All three babies were born within seven minutes and came out crying—a huge relief. Each was quickly taken to the NICU by specialized medical teams. Caroline faced post-birth complications but received excellent care from the team at Prentice. By day four, she was able to visit the NICU, and the family began daily commutes after discharge on day five.

March of Dimes played a vital role in the Kelly’s NICU journey. All three babies received Surfactant for lung support—especially important for Finn, who had a partially collapsed lung. The Compass App (formerly known as the NICU Baby App) also helped Chris and Caroline understand what to expect. Grateful for the support they received, the Kelly’s are committed to giving back to other NICU families and supporting March of Dimes however they can.
