Meet the Sletta Family
Like many couples, we dreamed of starting a family soon after getting married. But after facing infertility and an unsuccessful round of IVF, we knew adoption was how we were going to grow our family—a path already close to our hearts, as both our families have been blessed by it.
With the support of our loved ones, we began a journey filled with hope, heartbreak, and deep personal growth. Over 2.5 years, we experienced multiple adoption opportunities. Each one shaped us—teaching us patience, resilience, and the power of faith.
Then came the call that changed everything: a baby boy had been born, and we had been chosen to be his parents. He was in the NICU, facing a myriad of health challenges. We were scared, but our hearts knew—this was our son.
Meeting him for the first time, surrounded by monitors and wires, time stood still. Despite everything, he was calm in our arms—as if he’d been waiting for us all along. Every difficult moment suddenly made sense. He was exactly where he was meant to be—and so were we.
With the support of March of Dimes, what could have been an overwhelming experience became one we could manage with strength and hope. Their resources, guidance, and compassion made all the difference—and we can’t thank them enough.
We are forever grateful to his brave birthmother, whose selfless decision gave us the greatest gift of all. Our journey was long and emotional, but it led us to the love of our lives.

Upon arrival, you will enjoy the chance to sample our chefs’ creations for a 90-minute tasting experience before taking your seat for the Live Auction and Fund the Mission. Enjoy dessert while you bid on our unique packages, raising your paddle and giving generously to help babies.
