All March of Dimes Signature Chefs events will be held virtually this year. While we may not be together in person, we rely on your continued support to provide innovative programs and services for moms, moms-to-be and babies who may be at a greater risk of becoming sick and not receiving proper or equitable care.

The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Events community are coming together in new, innovative ways to suport moms and babies this year.

We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

We need your help now more than ever. Your support funds:

  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Programs that promote health equity for moms and babies and directly combat racial disparities in maternal and child health
  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into the hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks and so much more!

Join us for 2019 Charleston Signature Chefs Auction, as Charleston’s finest culinary talent come to support the March of Dimes. This year's 20th Annual Charleston Signature Chefs Auction is Presented by Atlas Technologies! The Signature Chefs Auction is a high profile black-tie gala that pays tribute to the culinary excellence of Charleston’s most prominent chefs, while raising money to improve the health of all moms and babies. The night of you will enjoy the chance to taste the Chefs' creations while participating in our Platinum Ticket Raffle and Silent Auction, before taking your seats for the Live Auction and Fund the Mission. All of this so you can be a part of supporting our groundbreaking mission of healthy moms, strong babies.

SUPPORT THE MISSION

“As I was having a routine ultrasound at 27 weeks, I noticed a drastic change in my doctor's facial expression. She informed me that it looked like the twins had developed twin to twin transfusion syndrome, something we had heard about, but thought we were in the clear as it usually happens early on in identical twin pregnancies. She told us she was going to call MUSC, let them know I was on my way and I needed to go NOW. As my world began to be turned upside down, I was quickly admitted where they were expecting me. I was taken into a room that looked an awful lot like an operating room and I remember thinking, no way. It is WAY too early.” We look forward to telling the rest of our story the night of the gala - Laura & Ryan Kammauf

MEET OUR 2019 LEAD CHEF

We are excited to have Chef Daniel Doyle as this year's Lead Chef for our Signature Chefs Auction. He will bring great leadership and the recruitment of the finest chefs, Charleston has to offer. Thank you, Chef Daniel!

Chef Daniel Doyle takes a contemporary approach to traditional Lowcountry dishes. Doyle grew up in Elon, North Carolina and has been working in the restaurant industry since he was 16. He attended Johnson & Wales in Charleston and completed his degree in 1999. Chef Doyle is an award winning Executive Chef with two decades of successful experience and a passion for innovative southern cuisine. 
 
Commonly referred to as “Chef D” in the restaurant business, March of Dimes has been a passionate involvement for him. Chef D has been a part of the March of Dimes organization for the past year 9 years and is honored to be the Lead Chef for his 10th year of support.

CULINARY EXCELLENCE

The Signature Chefs participating in the event, is what makes this event so amazing. Nowhere else can you have the best in culinary, all in one evening! A HUGE thank you to this year's Lead Chef, Daniel Doyle, Chef Partner of Poogan's Porch. This year's panel of chefs is sure to be the best yet. Our chefs are artists, innovators and philanthropists, and we look forward to sharing their talents at the event.
