All March of Dimes Signature Chefs events will be held virtually this year. While we may not be together in person, we rely on your continued support to provide innovative programs and services for moms, moms-to-be and babies who may be at a greater risk of becoming sick and not receiving proper or equitable care.

The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Events community are coming together in new, innovative ways to suport moms and babies this year.

We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

We need your help now more than ever. Your support funds:

  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Programs that promote health equity for moms and babies and directly combat racial disparities in maternal and child health
  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into the hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks and so much more!

This new twist on the annual event will take place on Friday, October 16th at 6:45 pm live on the March of Dimes-Florida Chapter Facebook Page. 

Join us for an unforgettable evening during our annual gathering of the area's finest culinary talent supporting the March of Dimes. While how we are coming together has changed, we can still make a real difference for moms and babies, at a time when they need us most. We are following CDC guidlines to avoid mass gatherings and are prepping for an exciting, new format for our Signature Chefs experience.
 
Moms and babies need you now more than ever.  The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Auction community are coming together in new, innovative ways to support moms and babies. This year celebrates the 31st annual Signature Chefs Auction in Southwest Florida and we are celebrating with a twist. 

Restaurants throughout Southwest Florida will be providing a delectable three course dining experience for guest to enjoy in-home.  Guests will also receive access for a virtual cooking demo with a local Chef, a digital Cookbook of our Chefs' Family Favorite recipes and a March of Dimes VIP dining card offering exclusive incentives when they visit participating restaurants for dinner within a one year from the event date.  The evening also serves up a digital Silent Auction and watch party of our Live-Streamed Auction filled with one of a kind opportunities.  The online auction will have unique packages featuring exclusive dining experiences, travel, entertainment and more.

This year we have added an exciting new Virtual Ticket option for remote or distancing participants.  For a nominal donation, participants will receive access to our Silent and Live-Streamed Auctions and a digital Cookbook of our Chefs' Family Favorite recipes.

                
Data show that the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations in the world for childbirth.  Over 700 women die each year from pregnancy-related causes, and the CDC reports that 60 percent are preventable.  The preterm birth rate is on the rise.  Two babies die every hour in the United States.  By joining our Signature Chefs community you are making a big difference.

Every hour 2 babies die and every day 2 women die from pregnancy related causes.  Your support helps the March of Dimes fund research, education, advocacy and programs that help more moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies.

March of Dimes leads the fight for the health of all moms and babies. We believe that every baby deserves the best possible start. Unfortunately, not all babies get one. We are changing that.

For 80 years, March of Dimes has helped millions of babies survive and thrive. Now we’re building on that legacy to level the playing field for all moms and babies, no matter their age, socio-economic background or demographics. We support moms throughout their pregnancy, even when everything doesn’t go according to plan. We advocate for policies that prioritize their health. We support radical improvements to the care they receive. And we pioneer research to find solutions to the biggest health threats to moms and babies. We also educate medical professionals and the public about best practices; we support lifesaving research; we provide comfort and support to families in NICUs; and we advocate for those who need us most, moms and babies.

Thanks to their leadership of our volunteers and committee members, we are honored to present this Signature Chefs event. After months of hard work, these volunteers have taken the event to new heights. The March of Dimes and the families we support are grateful for the generosity and effort of the team that made this evening possible.
