March of Dimes Signature Chefs Feeding Motherhood Presented by Kenvue adds a little flavor to fundraising by bringing guests together alongside the most talented chefs in Northwest Arkansas to support the health of moms and babies. Today the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for families of color. With your help, March of Dimes is ensuring all pregnant moms have access to care, addressing inequity in maternal health and strengthening families across America.
ARKANSAS'S MOMS & BABIES NEED OUR HELP
Your support through this event is critical! Arkansas received a Preterm Birth Grade of F on the
2022 March of Dimes Report Card, with 12% of babies born preterm in our state. The funds raised from Signature Chefs Feeding Motherhood will support education, research and advocacy that will help change these alarming statistics for families across Arkansas.

MEET THATCHER, 2023 MISSION AMBASSADOR
Thatcher entered the world at UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock in the spring of 2022. He was born at 23 weeks gestation weighing just 1lb 4oz. His extreme preterm birth combined with a right grade 2-3 brain hemorrhage and a left grade 4 periventricular hemorrhage gave him only a 50% chance of survival. His parents, Turner and Tori, were given very little hope, and told he may not have the best quality of life.
The next couple of weeks were a brutal emotional rollercoaster as Thatcher fought for his life. There were too many blood transfusions and diagnoses to count. However, as time went by he became stronger and was finally released from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at UAMS after 160 days and returned home to Northwest Arkansas with his mom and dad.
Today, Thatcher is healthy and happy! His family is so grateful for the NICU team, doctors and therapists who put in hours every week to make sure their sweet boy could have the best possible chance in life. They also send their gratitude to every March of Dimes supporter committed to fighting for the health of our most fragile babies, just like Thatcher.
