The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Events community are coming together in new, innovative ways to suport moms and babies this year.

We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

We need your help now more than ever. Your support funds:

  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Programs that promote health equity for moms and babies and directly combat racial disparities in maternal and child health
  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into the hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks and so much more!

EVENT DETAILS

The Charleston Signature Chefs Auction is a 24 year strong tradition. With your help, we can make a real difference for moms and babies at a time when they need us most. As March of Dimes' premier fundraiser, this event celebrates culinary excellence featuring top local chefs along with a silent & live auction and a compelling appeal to support our mission. Join us Thursday, November 16, to raise critical funds for healthy moms and strong babies. 2 women will die from pregnancy-related causes today. And every day. 2 babies die every hour in the U.S. 4,000,000 babies benefit from our research, vaccines, education, advocacy and breakthroughs.

We are pleased to have Chef Derick Wade with, The Darling Oyster Bar, as this year's Lead Chef for our Signature Chefs Auction. He will bring great leadership and the recruitment of the finest chefs, Charleston has to offer. Thank you, Chef Wade!

We have an incredible lineup of some of Charleston's most well-known chefs who pour their time, heart, and resources into furthing March of Dimes mission. Nowhere else can you experience the best in Charleston cuisine all in one place! BILL HALL LEGACY AWARD

As a memorial to the character and generosity of Bill Hall, March of Dimes has established the Bill Hall Legacy Award. It is to be presented to someone that carries the same spirit, not only towards March of Dimes but to our local community and businesses here in Charleston. The first ever recipients of this award were Brian Miller and David Diehl in 2021. It brings a great deal of pleasure to have presented the 2022 March of Dimes Bill Hall Legacy Award to Peggy Swails! Thank you to Peggy and Billy Swails, as we all know Peggy's husband, Billy, is her biggest supporter. Thank you both for your heart towards March of Dimes and our local community!
