Event description

The chefs, volunteers and guests who make up our Signature Chefs Events community are coming together in new, innovative ways to suport moms and babies this year.

We are following state mandated guidelines in response to COVID-19 and will not have an in-person event this year. So, we are preparing an exciting, new Virtual Gala for your 2020 March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction experience!

We need your help now more than ever. Your support funds:

  • COVID-19 interventions and support for moms and babies
  • Programs that promote health equity for moms and babies and directly combat racial disparities in maternal and child health
  • Free virtual NICU support program for families
  • Virtual prenatal programs for moms-to-be
  • Educational programs, including live Facebook panel discussions, to get info into the hands of moms and families
  • Necessary supplies for expectant mothers including blood pressure cuffs and masks and so much more!

EVENT DETAILS

March of Dimes Signature Chefs Feeding Motherhood adds a little flavor to fundraising by bringing guests together alongside the most talented chefs in Northwest Arkansas to support the health of moms and babies. Today the U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for families of color. With your help, March of Dimes is ensuring all pregnant moms have access to care, addressing inequity in maternal health and strengthening families across America.

ARKANSAS'S MOMS & BABIES NEED OUR HELP

Your support through this event is critical! Arkansas received a Preterm Birth Grade of F on the 2023 March of Dimes Report Card, with nearly 12% of babies born preterm in our state. The funds raised from Signature Chefs Feeding Motherhood will support education, research and advocacy that will help change these alarming statistics for families across Arkansas.

2024 MISSION AMBASSADOR

In 2022, Ian and Whitney Bryner’s life changed when their daughter Annie was born at just 26 weeks due to severe preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. What began as swelling and high blood pressure during a routine check led Whitney to an emergency C-section. Annie, weighing only 1lb 15oz, arrived fighting for her life, defying the odds by crying at birth—a rare feat for a baby so premature. Annie spent 108 days in the NICU, where her strength and the incredible care from the NICU team helped the Bryners through each milestone.

Though the journey was filled with challenges, including Whitney’s own battle with postpartum preeclampsia, she found solace in the unwavering support of the medical staff and her faith. Today, Annie is a healthy two-year-old, and Whitney reflects on their experience with gratitude, offering others hope and the reassurance that they are not alone in their struggles. They also send their gratitude to every March of Dimes supporter committed to fighting for the health of our most fragile babies, just like Annie.
